The Smith County Community Foundation is operated by an all volunteer board of 9-15 members from Smith County.  Their dedication, knowledge, and passion for communities in Smith County are what drive the Foundation.

SCCF awards over $86,000 in spring grants

  The Smith County Community Foundation awarded over $86,000 to area organizations during its spring grant cycle. Projects were funded through the Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund and the Smith County Action Fund. Recipients include: St. John Lutheran Church, Athol, $21,501 to create handicap accessible restrooms at the church. USD 237, $11,362 to purchase nine computer workstations loaded with Chief Architect Design Software to enhance the wood technology class curriculum. City of Gaylord/Gaylord Volunteer Fire Department, $10,000 for to purchase complete sets of personal protective equipment for all thirteen of its department members.
