Community foundation raises funds during November Match Month

SMITH CENTER, Kan.— In November, the Smith County Community Foundation had an opportunity to receive matching funds from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation during what is considered ‘Match Month’.

The foundation is excited to announce that it raised a total of $38,478.85 during their November Match Month. With a total match of $76,979 from Dane G. Hansen, this will result in $115,457.85 to be invested permanently in endowments that support local area grant-making for schools, the arts, parks, economic development, public health, the administration of the foundation and more.

"Thank you to each donor and to the Dane G. Hansen Foundation for investing in Smith County during Match Month,” said Natalie Wood, Greater Salina Community Foundation’s Affiliate Relations & Grants Coordinator. “Each donation is impactful as these gifts will support projects and programs throughout the county for years to come."
